Soft Starts are a more economical solution that do some of the desired functions of Variable Frequency drives.
Magnetek soft starts are called Motor acceleration control (MAC). The MAC 2000 can be easily applied to an existing contactor on a crane for single- or two-speed applications. Magnetek MAC soft starts can be incorporated into a custom control panel. Please see our control panels page or contact us for more options.
